Bath Boxes?
Today I decided to try combining two of my previous projects: boxes and bath bombs. I used an essential oils combo from my pinterest board called Inner Peace, which is lemongrass (herbal), bergamot (citrus), ylang ylang (floral), and vetiver (earthy). It's vibrant but not overpowering like the ones that keep me out of stores like Lush, Yankee Candle, Bath and Body Works, and the worst commercial offender of scent, Abercrombie & Fitch.
I've been thinking about branding lately, because that is part of my husband's line of work, and I realize I am largely ignorant of how it works. So I thought about how I could brand my bath bombs. The first thing that came to mind was a vintage butter mold I brought home from my grandma's house in February. It was stored in her jelly cupboard ready to be used at a moment's notice, but I suspect had not moved from its place in my lifetime.

Sadly, the mix was too course to hold the finely carved out design. So either I need to find another way to brand my crafts, or find a craft that I can brand with this butter mold. What do you think?
I love this idea! Maybe you could copy the design from the butter mold somehow, and find another method of getting the design on the things you make? And so cool that you used the boxes as molds!
ReplyDeleteThanks, I like that idea! It probably needs to be a protruding stamp rather than an inverted one.
